"Camino de los Muertos" Celebration Nov. 1 at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 28, 2025—ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ will be hosting a community-wide Day of the Dead celebration, “Camino de los Muertos,” on its campus on Saturday Nov. 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. A special All Saints Day Catholic Mass will also be held in Spanish at 4 p.m. in the Mission Church on ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½’s campus.
During the third annual event, which draws thousands of community members to ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½’s campus, visitors will enjoy:
- Dozens of ofrendas (altars) along the camino to commemorate and honor departed loved ones
- Live music
- Performances by ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½'s Ballet Folklórico group
- Catrina (the iconic Día de los Muertos skeleton figure) costume competition
- Traditional and authentic Mexican, Hispanic, or Latin foods from local vendors
The event is sponsored by ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, the Mexican Consulate of San Jose, and the Bay Area's Univision 14.
