Premodern Studies Program
The Premodern Studies Program at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ invites students to delve into the rich and diverse worlds of history, literature, art, and culture from ancient times through the early modern period. We encourage exploration across disciplines, offering a unique opportunity to engage with the ideas, beliefs, and traditions that shaped our past. Whether you're passionate about medieval literature, classical philosophy, or Renaissance art, the Premodern Studies Program provides a space for deep intellectual inquiry and cross-cultural understanding.
Archives and Special Collections
ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½'s Archives and Special Collections is the gateway to a treasure trove of rare and unique materials that chronicle the rich history and heritage of the university and the surrounding region. We invite students, faculty, and researchers to explore our extensive collections, which include manuscripts, rare books, university records, and artifacts that provide a window into the past. Whether you're conducting scholarly research, working on a creative project, or simply curious about the history of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, our Archives and Special Collections offer invaluable resources and expert guidance.
The Owl is ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½â€™s undergraduate-only, student-run literary arts publication. We encourage submissions from all current undergraduates at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ in any medium or genre: fiction, poetry, nonfiction, music, film, photography, visual art, and so on. Whatever you create, we hope to publish!
The ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Review is a student-edited literary magazine which publishes poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and visual art. The magazine is published biannually in February and May, drawing on submissions from ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ students, faculty, and staff, as well as from writers around the nation and globe.
The ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ is ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½â€™s student-run news source, founded on February 22, 1922. It is published throughout the year online. The newsprint edition is published every Thursday for the first eight weeks of every academic quarter.
We're ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½'s student-run radio station. Our team of over 120 student DJs is dedicated to bringing you the freshest and most diverse mix of music that you won't find anywhere else on the radio. But that's not all: we also feature independent talk shows, Bronco Sports broadcasting, and podcasts that cover a wide range of topics and perspectives. Without commercial incentives, our music solely reflects the passion and talent of our DJs.
Digital Humanities
The Digital Humanities initiative at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ connects faculty, staff, and students across departments and schools who use digital methods to conduct research centered on the human, and those who ask humanistic questions of digital tools and methods. DH is deeply interdisciplinary, collaborative, and welcoming to all researchers from across the arts and sciences invested in reflecting on the intersection of the human and digital.
ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ tUrn
tUrn is a climate crisis awareness and action group that invites everyone, from artists to scientists, from economists to ecologists, to shape one lecture, meeting, or event to address climate crisis during tUrn weeks or attend a tUrn event.
ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Magazine is provided free of charge to alumni and friends of ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½. Alumni begin receiving the print edition of SCM after graduation. Parents of current students receive the magazine as well. The ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Magazine is published in print for alumni and friends of the University and is updated weekly on the web.
SCLOrk
SCLOrk (the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Laptop Orchestra) is an innovative ensemble of up to sixteen players dedicated to the creation and performance of live electronic music. Created in the Spring of 2012 by ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ faculty Bruno Ruviaro and students, this interdisciplinary group explores the intersection of music composition, live performance, human/computer interaction, programming, and sound design, with emphasis on musical creativity based on cutting-edge technologies.
