Wine FUNdamentals SIG
The Wine FUNdamentals SIG meets in person once a month for educational wine tastings and visits to local wineries. There are over 50 wineries of every size and shape in the ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ Valley AVA (American Viticultural Area) alone, all the way from long-established century-year family operations to smaller newcomers. The viticulture history here began over 250 years ago, and the first European cuttings were planted at the historic Mission ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ by Franciscan Monks. Everyone is welcome! There is so much for us to explore and taste, because in addition to long-established wine-making practices here in the valley, modern wine producers are also experimenting with natural, organic, and biodynamic processes.
