The LEAD Scholars Program

Transfer Peer Mentors and Educators support our new transfer students throughout their first year at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½. Peer mentors create community during LEAD Week, meet regularly with their mentees throughout their first year and plan activities for their mentoring groups. Transfer peer educators are a source of support and information in the Advanced LEAD Seminar class that introduces transfer students to ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ resources and leadership opportunities.

Hi my name is Esmeralda Ortiz. I am from Salinas, CA. I am a rising senior studying Finance and minoring in Real Estate. My favorite class I've taken at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ so far has been U.S. Hispanic Theology.

A few fun facts about me are that I enjoy baking, going on hikes, and trying different food spots around the Bay.

In addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are the Transfer Student Union and Women in Investment.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
