Transfer Peer Mentors and Educators support our new transfer students throughout their first year at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½. Peer mentors create community during LEAD Week, meet regularly with their mentees throughout their first year and plan activities for their mentoring groups. Transfer peer educators are a source of support and information in the Advanced LEAD Seminar class that introduces transfer students to ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ resources and leadership opportunities.

Hey! My name's Isabel Espinoza. I am from Alviso, a small town between ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ and Milpitas. I am a super senior who will graduate in the fall, and I am English major and a Creative Writing minor. My favorite class I've taken at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½ so far has been Dr. Morgan's African American Comedy class where she intertwined pop culture and literature to showcase what African American comedy is.

A few fun facts about me are I am an unpublished poet, I wasn't born with curly hair but it curled after I hit puberty, and I don't have my driver's license.

In addition to LEAD, I am the President of the Transfer Student Union (TSU) and a student worker in the English Department.

I am very excited to meeting all of you!
