In the last decade, ESS graduates have been accepted into top graduate schools and have secured a disproportionate number of university-wide and national awards, including a University Valedictorian, 4 Fulbright Fellowships, and 1 Rhodes Scholarship. Recently graduated students have attended graduate programs at: USC (Price School of Public Policy), UC Berkeley (Goldman School of Public Policy and School of Law), Columbia, UCSB (Bren School and Geography PhD), Oxford (DPhil in Geography and the Environment), UCLA, University of Washington (Evans School of Public Policy, and School of Law), Utah State (MFA), UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz (Enviromental Studies PhD), Arizona State U (Geography, PhD), Duke University (Nicholas School of the Environment), University of Notre Dame, Tufts Univeristy, Harvard University, and Stanford University. Several have won major scholarships to attend law school at Northwestern, UC Berkeley, Cornell, Michigan, and elsewhere, and others are currently enrolled or have recently completed PhD programs. Many students have also gone on to work in environmental education, consulting, community organizing, corporate social responsibility, and community and government service.
