Outreach / Mentoring 

Lyme Bay BSL offer an outreach and mentoring service for d/Deaf children and adults who are in need of extra support. We can develop a personalised care plan for each client.

We offer a wide range of support, including:

  • Learning skills for daily living 
  • Taking a course
  • Getting out of the house
  • Accessing other services or resources 
  • Joining clubs and social groups

Outreach and mentoring can help​:

  • Develop a deaf identity
  • Build a sense of belonging and feelings of being understood
  • Further understanding and confidence with accessing support networks
  • Prevent feelings of isolation and loneliness 
  • Opportunity to practise and develop communication skills
