Dr. Esther Sackett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½'s Leavey School of Business, which she joined in 2019. She teaches Managing Human Dynamics in Organizations and Flourishing at Work at the undergraduate level, and Leading People in Organizations in the Evening and Online MBA programs.

Dr. Sackett's research investigates the intersection of collaboration, motivation, and interpersonal perceptions within and across teams. Drawing on qualitative methods, social network analysis, surveys, and experiments, her work aims to deepen understanding of complex collaborative processes in contexts such as healthcare, entrepreneurship, multinational corporations, and nonprofits. Her scholarship has appeared in Organization Science, Organization Studies, Research in Organizational Behavior, Group and Organization Management, Frontiers in Psychology, Health Care Management Review, and Harvard Business Review, among other outlets.

Prior to joining ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, Dr. Sackett was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Dispute Resolution Research Center at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Before entering academia, she spent several years managing interdisciplinary projects in the healthcare industry.

Dr. Sackett holds a Ph.D. from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, an MPA from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service, and a B.A. in Anthropology from Ithaca College. In 2022, she was recognized as one of Poets & Quants' 50 Best Undergraduate Business Professors and received the ACE Outstanding Faculty Award at ÃÛÌÒµ¼º½, selected by students.
